Randy Weiss, Ph.D., is a Messianic Jew who has been teaching about the Jewish origins of Christianity for many years. Monday, March 23rd
Depart from USA. Enjoy an overnight flight that includes dinner, breakfast, and in-flight entertainment.

Tuesday, March 24th
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. Airport assistance by aviatours staff. Transfer to Galilee hotel.

Wednesday, March 25th
Travel to Caesarea Philippi where Peter recognized Jesus as the Son of God (Matthew16:13-20). Ascend to the Golan Heights and overlook the Sea of Galilee from above. Board a boat and experience the Sea of Galilee firsthand! Trek on to Capernaum to visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the Byzantine chapel at the site of Peter’s House. End the day in Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves and fish, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene.

Thursday, March 26th
Travel to Nazareth, Cana, Zippori, Megiddo, and the Jordan River. The first stop is Nazareth, home of the Church of the Annunciation, built over the home of Jesus’ family. Continue on to Cana where the first miracle of Jesus took place, and then to Zippori, the capital of the Talmudic Israel after the destruction of the second temple. After lunch, move on to Megiddo, the multi-layered city. The final stop for the day will be the baptism site at the Jordan River, where those who wish to do so may renew their baptism in this unique place.

Friday, March 27th
Visit Mount Carmel, where Elijah fought and defeated the 400 false prophets. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Valley of Armageddon. Continue on to the city of Haifa to view the world-famous Bahaii Gardens. Visit Caesarea, King Herod’s personally-designed port city and the place where Paul was arrested and sent to Rome. Move on to Jerusalem for the afternoon to participate in a symbolic ceremony of entering the city. From the Mount of Olives, enjoy the panoramic view of both the Old and New City of Jerusalem.

Saturday, March 28th
Drive south to the Dead Sea and Qumran to visit the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Travel by cable car ride up to Masada, the palace-fort built by King Herod, where, in 73 A.D., 960 Jewish zealots committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. Cap off the afternoon with a float in the mineral-rich Dead Sea. On the way back to Jerusalem see the site of the Good Samaritan.

Sunday, March 29th
 Visit Jerusalem and Bethlehem.  Follow the path down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the nearby Church of All Nations. Take a short drive through the Kidron Valley to reach Absalom and Zachariah’s Tomb. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, and continue to Mount Zion (King David’s tomb) and the Upper Room, site of the Last Supper. Travel to Bethlehem, the Church of the Nativity, and Milk Grotto. View Shepherds’ Field on the way back to Jerusalem.

Monday, March 30th
Explore Jerusalem, the Shrine of the Book, and the Garden Tomb. Visit the modern city of Jerusalem, the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), the Yad Va Shem Museum (Holocaust Museum). Visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited. Experience the Wailing Wall and the last remains of the Temple built by King Solomon. Walk through the Rabbi’s Tunnel that reveals the unique size of the Wailing Wall. Visit the Davidson Center, which demonstrates life in the time of the Second Temple. End the day with a time for prayer and meditation at the Garden Tomb.

Tuesday, March 31st
Enjoy a free day for private exploration, shopping, and relaxation. After a farewell dinner, travel on to the airport for a late flight back home.

Wednesday, April 1st
Arrive home after realizing the dream of a lifetime.
